90s A BATHING APE EMBROIDED SHIRT / L
90s A BATHING APE EMBROIDED SHIRT / L
This vintage '90s piece features a classic black body with bold yellow embroidery on the chest and back, drawing inspiration from vintage bowling shirts. The yellow embroidery on the black base gives off an updated Rockabilly vibe.
A BATHING APE® (BAPE) is a streetwear brand founded by NIGO® in 1993 in Uraharajuku. Inspired by his favorite movie, Planet of the Apes, the brand’s iconic monkey motif became a signature element. The name "A Bathing Ape" refers to the idea of a monkey leisurely soaking in lukewarm water, an ironic commentary on the apathy of Japan’s affluent youth, content with a comfortable, unchallenged existence.
