90s A BATHING APE CAMO JACKET / L
90s A BATHING APE CAMO JACKET / L
This jacket features a long, half-coat style, similar to snowboard wear, and is made from crisp nylon. The zip-up front, Velcro closures, and three-dimensional pockets reflect strong military influences. The interior is lined with mesh, and an adjustable waist lets you customize the fit by tightening it to your desired thickness.
The design of the jacket is highlighted by a monkey motif hidden within the angular digital camouflage pattern. This pattern is inspired by the KLMK camouflage used by the former Soviet Union. KLMK (КЛМК) is a military camouflage pattern developed by the Soviet Union in 1968. It was designed to counter NATO’s growing use of night vision devices and became one of the most widely used camouflage patterns for Soviet military coveralls.
A BATHING APE is a Japanese street fashion brand. The founder, NIGO, opened a store in Harajuku in 1993, and the brand began. Since the founder was a big fan of monkey-themed movies, he designed many items with monkey motifs. Currently, NIGO is the designer of KENZO.
